Rules Overview
The Rules Of Donk Cards Can Get Overwhelming Fast, So I Encourage Reading This Paragraph About How To Learn Donk Cards
So Donk Cards Is A Game With Many Stages And Parts, So, In Order To Learn The Game I Recommend Making And Playing Your Game As You Read And Slowly Implement More Of The Rules As You Go. Or If The Game Is Just To Complicated To Learn For You, Then Just Play With The Rules You Do Understand. Also, Since I Am Singlehandedly Making And Playing The Game, The Testing Process Sometimes Goes Wrong. So If You Find Something That Doesn’t Make Sense To You Just Email The Owner Or Use The Form In The Main Page To Tell Me What’s Wrong Because Reporting Something To Me Is The Only Official Way For It To Get Fixed. Anyway Below Is The Comprehensive Version Of The Rules To The Game Organized Into Sections. Above Is New Rules. At The Bottom Of This Page Is A Constantly Updating Index To Rules. I Recommend Looking In There If You Have A Card That Has A “Suspiciously Strong” Ability. Anyway Good Luck!!!
Part 1: Deck Building/Structure
To Me, The Way First Way To Learn The Game Is To Have The Cards To Play! So I’ll Give A Short Guide Of The 2 Best Products For Deck Building.
So Their You Have It. In My Opinion, First Buy A Stater Deck, Then Get 2-3 Booster Packs To Mix It Up.
Now For The Actual Building Part Of This Part. So, In Order To Build Your Deck, You Must Know How To Identify The Different Types Of Cards So I Will Give A Short Description Of The Types Of Cards

Chances Are, If You Have Ever Bought A Donk Product, You Most Likely Have At Least One Of These Three Types Of Cards. Since There Is A Whole Other Section Describing The Types Of Cards I’ll Make This Description Short. Character Cards Are The Main Cards That Attack, Defend, etc. Tool Cards Are Cards You Attach Onto Character Cards. And Item Cards Do Actions Such As Regenerating A Selected Card.
A Donk Deck Should Have Enough Character Cards To Play Offence And Defense, And Enough Item Cards To Do Basic Actions Throughout The Game.
If This Doesn’t Make Sense To You Yet, Don’t Worry, This Part Is Meant To Be A Section That You Should Come Back To When You Learn More.
Anyway Here Are The Basic Rules To A Standard Deck.
Up To 40 Cards (You Can Have Under 40...)
Can Have More Than Four Cards Of The Same Name (You Can Have 4 Each Of Different Stages Though)
You Can Only Have Two Inverse Art Rares And 4 Art Rares In A Deck (If You Don’t Know Don’t Worry About It)
My Personal Recommendation For A Basic Deck Is 16 Character Cards, 10 Tool Cards, And 14 Item Cards.
If You Have Any Strategies/Deck You Would Like To Share, Just Post Them In The Competitive Chat In The Discord Server.
Part: 2 Game Format
Their Are 3 Main Formats To Donk TCG.
-The Most Basic And Commonly Played Format
-The Rules On This Page Are The Rules For This Format
-Official Online/Offline tournaments will have this format
-All Cards (Even Banned Cards)
-The 4 Card Of The Same Name Doesn’t Apply Here.
-You can make your own rules!
-Good for starter players
-Barely played as much as the other two because one person’s rules might be different from another’s rules.
I recommend having a deck for standard and a deck for custom that is easy to switch out cards.
Part 3: Card Types
This is where this game really starts to become similar to a rpg. There are four main character card types: Attacker, Ranged, Defender, Mage.
Attackers can only attack directly in front of them and tools attached to them do double the damage. These cards happen to be the most common card in the DonkTCG. Their easy to use, work well in most strategies and usually have decent stats.
Ranged cards can attack any card on the playmat. There is also a optional choice when you attack with one of these cards. You may flip a coin, if heads you may do double the damage and if tails you do half the damage. These cards are often vital in shorter strategies. Since they can attack any card, they are very good for getting rid of annoying cards such as defenders.
Defenders don't attack, instead they share half of their vitality with the chosen card. These cards are exceptionally great when your main mage card is vulnerable to multiple attacks.
Mages use their attack to increase a stat on the chosen card. Mages are definitely a must have in all types of decks because they can largely support cards that are vulnerable to attack.
Now for the other two types of cards: Tool cards and item cards.
Tool cards are a essential part of powering up you cards. On the tool card, it will say what stats it will change and its abilities if it has any.
Tool cards are a essential part of powering up you cards. On the tool card, it will say what stats it will change and its abilities if it has any.
Item cards have two classifications: Temporary and Permanent. Temporary cards are placed down, the player fulfills the card's action and the card goes to the discard pile. Permanent cards are placed and stay on the playmat until its effect is triggered or something discards it. While there are sub categories to character cards such as leaders, healers, and summoners but they will not be covered in the main rules.
Now For A Few Tips That Weren’t Included In That Overview
-If Your Deck Includes Character Cards That Have Multiple Stages, You Have To Evolve Your Card Up To That Stage. For Example, Below Is A Card That Has 3 Stages. In Order To Get To Stage 3, You Must Evolve From Stage 2, And To Get Stage 2 You Must Evolve From Stage 1. Evolve Also Cost Time, Which Is Another Topic For A Different Part Of The HTP. Below Is A Diagram Of Someone Evolving The Cards Shown. Keep In Mind You Can Only Evolve A Single Card Once Per Turn.
-It Works The Same Way With Enhanced Versions Of Cards. Nothing Is Different Besides Having To Use A Enhancement Item Card.

Now For A Few Tips That Weren’t Included In That Overview (Cont.)
-Item Cards Have A Rare Type In Addition To Temporary And Permanent, Called “Nerf” There Are Very Few Cards That Have It But They Are VERY Useful Against Stronger Cards Such As Versions Of Cross And Such. The Card Effect Says All You Would Need To Know So I’m Going To Keep The Effect Secret For Now Till Someone Actually Gets One.
